New To Airsoft
« on: October 10, 2009, 06:29:16 PM »
I am looking to buy my first airsoft gun and join a team.  I am wondering what is better though for an AEG, gas-blowback or electric?  Also, are there any teams for newbies in Arizona that I could possibly join?

Not to be an ass but AEG stands for AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC GUN so there will be no gas blow back, also this is a very bland post... some things would help
your price range
what type of gun you want (m4,mp5,etc)
and thats just for starters, also seeing as you are just starting i would go for an aeg not gbb (GASS BLOW BACK) because that requires the use of gas and tends to be on the more expensive side and less user friendly.
as far as teams i have no idea but your getting ahead of yourself, find a gun then go from there.

Not to be an ass, but he never specified what type of airsoft gun he wanted, he could have been talking about BBP's and AEP's he never limited himself to just rifles, before you post a remark read it carefully.

Not to be an ass... but actually, the op specified AEG, before you post a remark read it carefully.

Wow Ya'll.  He said he was new.  If you don't have something constructive to say then shut up.

Back on topic

Cameron...Don't know where you are located at but I would suggest going to Gearbox Airsoft in Tempe.  Its on the Southeast corner of Southern and McClintok on the east end of the strip mall there.  That would give you a chance to handle some of the different types of weapons.   On the topic of AEG or GBB, AEG's tend to be lower maintenance and more reliable in my opinion but it is up to you and what you prefer. Take your time, ask questions, and talk to people about what you want out of airsoft.  Do you want MilSim? Just shooting with friends? etc?

Oh and welcome to the community....
