Quote from: "THE DUNN"
I say the army just adopts the desert MARPAT.. cost effective and we already know that it is better than the army ACU in iraq.

HELL NO! thats our shit and should stay that way, they can pick another stupid color if they want. hell navy picked blue....for Marpat, stay away from retail or hunting places etc, cause they wont have the real thing. The best way to get it is to earn I've got a recruiting card if you want it. being serious now, stick to surplus stores. i order mine online from a website that i needed to be put into the system for, so I'd give you that website but i'm not giving you my social. as to a previous question, i would say Marpat is superior to ACU, for the places we go, get  a set of both tan and woodland if I where you, but legit cammies aren't cheap FYI. But i stick to my statement of man up and join up if you want em! ;)

Unless of course they made stealth camo ( I think it's possible but not any time soon) but i agree, no camo can completely camo you anywhere unless you're a good sniper then of course you use your surroundings but we're talking about uniforms here not shrubs.

I also agree CADPAT would work better for the surrounding foliage in the area.

what do you mean cammies can't conceal you, I've seen the shit work like a charm. u don't have to be a sniper to conceal yourself you just don't have to be an idiot....which is hard for some people....

The Army should take on CADPAT. We wouldn't essentially be taking MARPAT just the scheme (as the Marines did when they had help from the Canadian Government to create MARPAT).

MARPAT

CADPAT

The Marine didn't necessarily "steal" it from the Canadians, the Marine Corps went through hundreds of different patterns and where brought up with series of fractal equations and nonsense. Then the rest of the US branches followed us, thus resulting in other patterns...and its not all the pattern that is bad, its the color i would say more or less. gray isn't the best all around now, if you want to call it a gray. it has its uses like next to cement, or floral couches....but overall i say its not so great. what they need to do is either 2-3 colors like us.  but now and days everyone (well we have been) are wearing flight suits out anyways....

Exactly, thus my reason for wanting to The Army to adopt CADPAT. It would be a desert and woodland camo scheme.
