WE tech 1911
« on: January 01, 2010, 05:01:47 PM »
This is my first GBB and I would like to know how to properly take care of it. I already did a little searching and couldn't find anything. I know I need silicone but is there anything else I would need for it? Also is green gas or propane better to use? Thanks for helping.

If your gonna use propane, lube your o rings well since its dry. Lube your gun regularly(even if it sits cause the seals will go bad if the dry out) I hate WE gbbs. If its the hi cappa model i would polish the rails where it slides at. Also buy a extra loading nozzle(WEs tend to break alot)

If you play where it's dusty, clean it and re-lube it after every game.
If you're  not sure what a properly cared for gbb looks like, use green gas instead of propane for a while. Then you'll know where/how much the lubrication is supposed to be at. Until you know how to lube the gun, green gas will be better for you, although propane is significantly cheaper.

If you take care of it, and clean it every once in a while, it will treat you right. I have a WE MEU that's been going strong for almost two years now... still hasn't broken. :D
