Airsoft IED
« on: April 17, 2010, 10:53:23 PM »
So I built an airsoft IED, non-functioning of course. I don't believe H.E. and airsoft go hand-in-hand. It will be used for certain objectives such as, but not limited to... place an IED, find and disarm IED, there's a bomb on the bus  , and so on. In my line of work I am able to aquire some pretty cool stuff. So these are the materials I used
1. M18 smoke grenade canister X 4
2. Electrical tape
3. Red and black wire
4. Temp sensor to an air conditioning pack from an F-5
5. Dirt
6. Small pack of clay
7. Old cell phone (motorolla sliver)

I filled the canisters with dirt for added weight then taped them closed, then taped all 4 together. Then I disassembled the phone and soldiered the two wires inside to random crap. Next I cut the end of the temp sensor off and drilled it out a bit, then installed the wires to it. I mounted the small pack of clay to the canisters then mounted the phone to the canisters all with electrical tape. Lastly I inserted the temp sensor into the block of clay. Simple enough. The temp sensor acts as the blasting cap, clay as some plastic explosives, cell phone as trigger device, and the canisters as random High Explosives. This is how it turned out...

That's neat.

I would be REALLY careful about where that's seen.
