Hopefully from the rear [;)]

Seriously, though, sidearms are fun but don't really get much use in games. I love my gbb just for plinking though. Buying gas sucks.

Maintenence is a pain. They will break on you.

I love them and I prefer them to AEG's, simply on my personal fun factor scale.

NBB if you just want a sidearm.

Contrary to the way it should be, I use my pistol only offensively.  The need for it as a secondary or backup has not arisen to this day.  I use it only when someone gets close, or I simply want a good pistol kill.  Its good in CQ situations, but those are so few and far between, it is not worthy of discussion here.

And they look great in a nice holster!

I had a KSC Glock 19 for a while, it was fun to plink with, but didn't have much practical use as a backup (as Christian said) I eventually sold it, then when I actually did need a sidearm at BT, I had to bum one of Nuke's TM Tacmasters [:P]

Pistols make great primaries too as azsarge mentioned.  Dual pistols for primaries, dual pistols for secondaries, and a MP5K for a tertiary.  Pistols are great for bringing some freshness, challenge and extra variety to your game when AEGs become too stale.

Your revolver only holds six rounds, but your fists never run out of ammo.

I have made several pistol kills. More often than not I draw the pistol when I know I am too close for my AEG.  I have had to switch to pistol 2 times now because my primary weapon got shot.  Another time my trigger finger got shot.  I guess people just aim for my gun or something.

Last weekend I used my GBB because my battery died.  It was fun using something different, but I had only a little gas in my mags so it didn't last long.
