EVENT UPDATE

I finally had a chance to pick up the event registration from Gearbox and Vanguard.  Here are the updated numbers:

Civilian Survivors - SOLD OUT
PMC - 8 spaces remain (at Gearbox)
US Special Operations - SOLD OUT

There will be 8 walk on spaces available at the game (4 Civilians, 2 PMC, and 2 SPEC OP) available for $70 each.

Annual Pass and Season Pass Owners can pay at the event.  These players should reconfirm their space by sending out an email to MTTStaff@gmail.com  If you don't know if you can make it, please let us know ASAP to release the spot to some one from the general public.

The first batch of game rules and schedule will be sent out on Wednesday.

Howdy all.

I can't wait for this event.

First though, 2 questions for MTT (I'm sorry in advance if this has already been asked / answered):

1)  What's the Zombie Volunteer count like?  And if you have names too, I'd prefer it.

2)  Is there a Zombie Survival Training night scheduled, prior to game day.  Those training sessions really do make all the difference in surviving or not.  (If there is one, I ask that all Zombies show up to it to assist the instructors.  Also to spy on the humans and know what they're planning for us.  Hehe, shhhh...).

Anywho, thanks for the answers MTT.  This one should be even better than the last.

Zombies get free admission to the event, a raffle ticket, and a free admission to a future Marauders Airsoft event.

Please send an email to MTTStaff@gmail.com.  You get into a 50 - 70 dollar event for FREE, get into ANOTHER MTT event in the future for FREE, and you can get your undead-acting skills on.

I'll see you guys there.  Can't wait!

Desert camo is what spec ops will be wearing. You'd be better off
Wearing some jeans or black cargo pants and a black shirt.

Lol, It's actually Ari Fischel. I must have sloppy hand writing :D

Also, Would it be possible to move Jess Barnes to Civilian? His gun just broke and he currently has no other AEG.

EVENT UPDATE

Registration for the event is now closed.

The teams are at capacity with prepaid and reserved spaces.  There will be four to six walk on spaces available at $70 each at the event.

Please note that registration for the game takes place between 7 pm - 8 pm.  We have to check in over 60 players and zombies.  Safety briefings will begin at 8 pm and mission briefings will begin at 8:30 pm.

Please make sure to READ THE GAME PACKET THOROUGHLY before arriving at the game.  Please send an email to MTTStaff@gmail.com if you did not receive a copy of the game rules and schedule.

It is also important that everyone have some type of mouth and chest protection if you plan on playing as a zombie if infected and killed.  While no one plans on dieing, it is important to plan ahead so that you don't get injured as a member of the undead.

Our staff is looking forward to another great zombie adventure!

Thanks to everyone who came out to Marauders Airsoft second installment of Left for Dead at Vanguard Indoor Playground.

There were over 50 players at the game.  Our staff would like to thank everyone for their support that keeps making these events possible.  To help make our next adventure a better experience for our players, please share your stories and ideas here, by pm, or by email to MTTstaff@gmail.com

Thank you to the Vanguard staff for staying up late and running such a great field.  VIP is really one of the best indoor field on the west coast if not the whole country.  As an event coordinator, it really is a pleasure to work with your staff.  Emily and Chris really take care of our players.  I know that there have been some concerns about the new bb's.  While these new bb's due have some flaws, I have found that they work well for CQB and our staff did not receive any complaints.  I personally tested 1000 of the new bb's through four different weapons (CYMA Glock AEP, Echo Stag 15, Echo Barret Rec 7 with tight bore barrel, Classic Army Seal CQB) without any issues in the weapons or magazines (Star 30 round, MAG 100 round, Magpul 110 round).

A special thanks to Ron and the Gearbox Airsoft staff for running registration at their store.  People often ask me why they have to drive out to Gearbox to get signed up.  It's simple, if we want great airsoft stores like Gearbox, we need to support them.  The staff there always provides great deals and service to our airsoft community.  Their staff actually participates in the game and knows the sport.  Just stop by during the next week and see Ron's wounds from some "great shooting" by a civilian survivor at Left for Dead.

As for the zombie volunteers...this game really could not happened without your support and efforts.  Mission after mission you guys kept coming back for more blood and brains.   Even though exhausted and outnumbered, your mini hordes kept the missions exciting and fun.  Seing Drew, Mike Seichi, and Ron coming out of the darkness in costume really adds to the experience.

Finally, our staff would like to thank all of the players who came out to support the game.  I always tell our staff that it doesn't matter how hard we try to make the game great, the experience will really be determined by those you fight along side of.  Working with the Infidels on the SPEC Op's team was another great experience.  You guys watched your angles and didn't panic when the
"Tank" and mini hordes were pushing on us at objectives.  As for the PMC team, you guys had a hard fight as the majority of your fighters were new to the business of fighting the undead.  However, you guys kept your spirit up and kept up the fight.  Civilian Survivors...well lets just say that there were some great fighters mixed into the group along with players who should stick to the video game version of L4D.  As a military soldier seperated from his squad, trying to help some of your teams was really tough.  Your team inspired one of my favorite stories...

A lone soldier approaches a barn that has been barricaded by civilian survivors.  He approaches and starts calling out..."US military... I need to talk to your leader."  The soldier's yelling attracts some class 1 zombies.  Using his tactical tomahawk, the soldier dispatches the ghouls and again calls into the barricaded structure.  From inside, a paniced civilian shoots the soldier four times in the arm. "Why are you shooting at me!?" the soldier demands.  From inside, a frightened voice answers..."I thought you were a zombie trying to get in?"  "Have you met any zombies who talk and fight with weapons?"  the soldier asks.  The civilian stops and gives a priceless answer... "No, but I thought a zombie might be trying to trick us into letting it in"  Morale of the story... Nothing is more dangerous than a scared civilian with a gun.

First off I'd like to thank all marauder, VIP, and gearbox staff and of course the volunteer zombies for an awesome game. I've never been to a marauders event and I definitely will say that it was worth the 50 bucks. Thanks to the infidels and Mike for leading and pull the spec-ops through the missions and making sure we got out of there alive. Thanks to the zombies for being awesome actors. It really added alot of suspense to the game. I do apologize if I shot some zombies in the hands or leg, I know that I shot bowser in the bum at that last mission and I apologize for that. Great job to the pmc's for keeping us on our toes on that last mission. Once again I had alot of fun and look forward to future events.
