Radio Recommendations

As the title suggests, I was just interested to see what kind of radios and communication setups people are running, I currently have some cheapo walmart FRS radios, and they do the job, but only radios of that manufacturer can transmit to each other, Which is frustrating, but it works when my small band of teammates is operating together, but for bigger games it does us no good.

I use my Cobra radio, purchased at Wal-Mart for around $24 for the pair. Small, decent signal, durable, rechargable OR replacable batteries (takes AAAs, comes with charger) and works with almost any other brand radio in my experience across the same frequency. Might upgrade eventually someday but for now it works great.

For the budget minded, get Motorola talkabout style. They are the one pin, and have an abundance of headsets for them. Or if you have the money, get an ICOM F4S, as it seems to be the standard for high end airsoft. I got mine off ebay in a fierce bidding war for $56.

Definitely search ebay... I got two f4s radios with batteries and a charger for $80

ICOM F4S by far. Red Dog has hooked MANY MANY MANY of us up. I remember the rubber cover on my antenna fell off 2 days before a game, and he overnighted a new antenna, free of charge.

Can i get replacement ICOM batteries from red dog? Or are there other places people would recommend for the batteries?

Get them repacked.
I've had batteries plus do them in the past.
Though the tech's are hit and miss.
