Purchasing New Camo
« on: July 19, 2011, 02:52:49 PM »
I'm just now able to start getting involved in the sponsored events and the ones you guys put on. Picking up from other threads I gather that I need a set of woodland and desert for most events. Now can I use something other than the old style woodland and desert? (flora, flecktarn, ACU, etc). Or is it generally required to stick with the basics?

Bigger events like Lion Claw and Combat Challenge will require specific patterns.  Most games on AA will just be designated by color (green/tan).

also on a semi-related note, I understand that the higher priced shemaghs (I think I spelled that right) are better quality, but are they really worth paying all that much?

You mean something like this?

I guess they have their uses, I've got one that I've never used before, but don't go doing something stupid like wearing it out in public like I've seen some people do (at least for whom it is not culturally appropriate).

That's worse than wearing a JROTC or CAP uniform, especially if there's no good reason but i've seen a range of shemaghs going from 10 dollars to 30+, Is it worth splurging on the expensive ones? Or is there really not much of a difference?

I bought mine from Gearbox for $10.  Works perfectly.
