Which one should I buy?
« on: June 02, 2011, 09:48:27 AM »
ok so i have narrowed my gun choices down to three guns im interested in, my price range is about 170 dollars and the reason i choose these 3 guns is because i like double stack and hicapa mags for more rounds. let me know which one i should purchase and some good and bad things about each
1. KJW M1911 tactical with 2 hicapa magazines
2. KWA M9 PTP only 1 mag
3. KWA m93r (i like this one the most but the lower frame is plastic and im a little scared when i hear the word plastic) only one mag

You will NEVER regret going with the KWA gbb guns. They are great in every way. As far as the M9 vs M93R,  the plastic lower is pretty decently built, but the only reason to go with the M93R over the M9 is the fact that it has full auto, and burst fire. But remember that full auto means more complex. The more complex something is, the harder it is to maintain and the more likely it is to break.

I recommend the KWA M9 unless you really really want the full/burst fire modes, but know that having full/burst fire will cause you some headache and a lot of gas.

I have the KWA 1911 mkIV, and the KWA MP7, both built very well.

The KJW 1911 hi-capa is a good gun, I have owned two.  Cheap, reliable, and easy to work on (mods).  I always recommend hi-capa compatible guns.

I own a KJW 1911, the KP07, and that thing is one hell of a trooper. Gun functions flawlessly, never failed me. Only problem I have is with the mags. It came with 1 green gas and 1 Co2 mag, both of which had cracked magazine lips after 7-8 months of use. After finally finding the necessary replacement part, I discovered the follower on the Co2 mag was broken, thus rendering it useless at this point. The green gas mag works great though. Not sure if their Hi Capas are Co2 compatible or not, but I can certainly attest to the durability of the KJW guns themselves. It dropped out of my vest and was lost in the desert for almost an hour once. I found it, dusted it off, and it still fired like the day I bought it. Needless to say, I bought a better holster after that.  [smilie=armata_pdt_08.gif]

I've had almost the same experiences (it coming through hell and back from noobs to dust, sand, rain, etc.) with mine and yes their hicapa's use CO2, but I had so many issues I just run propane. I'd highly recommend a SERPA. Hands down my favorite and it comes in so many styles! Only problem is its a bit finicky with inserting it into the holster. Coming out is pretty clean and easy. NEVER had it fall out!

And just to let everyone know, these are THE best loner GBBs you will find. Anytime we run out of AEGs to loan at games, I load this up and every time people come back telling me how much they love it.

KJW basically cloned the marui design to the letter and dropped in some nice high flow valves, great nozzle, reliable mags (nothing like their old leaky ones), full metal, and on mine, the tanio koba grips which go for a lot aftermarket.

Thanks to the Marui based hop up it shots just like a stock AEG in terms of distance and accuracy. Ammo capacity sucks unless you have three or more mags as they go FAST.

I love it so much I'm looking to get another Hicapa one for my brother and my teammates are all looking into buying them now that they have their primaries figured out.
