Thats not being a fanboy. Thats being greatfull. I thank your Dad for his Service.
Best part of being an American Serviceman is knowing that no matter what, somebody will come for you. Even if it takes "everyone"
I just find this list humerous. After 14 years my view of the military is faaaaaaar different! This list is more like "my dad can kick your dads ass"
The military is mission specific. There is very few "chosen warriors" and we all work together to achieve the same outcome. Each branch has its pro's and con's.
Funny thing about military training schools, most are "all service schools" EOD for example is taught by Saliors (for the most part) at an Air Force (part of it) base. But all the braches go there.
Just think, for some reason Navy EOD is the only one budgeted to work in SOCOM, don't know why its that way but it is. Just like PJ's are the only ones that work thier specific mission in SOCOM.
Alot of the stuff is based on each service wanting to have a peice of the SOCOM pie. 5 Years ago MARSOC didn't exsist, it was Marine Force Recon, but the Marine Corps needed to justify its exsitence and Navy Seal mirrior mission, So they finally rolled up with the rest of SOCOM, created MARSOC and the Air Force got to be part of the Osprey program, which then helped expand the overall program, and the Marine Corps got to share the budget and finally get the aircraft.
SOCOM at this time has the biggest "black" budget in the serivces and each branch wants a piece.
Ugh I'm getting way off topic.
