Mine doesn't hold an AEG battery, I just wanted it for the stock.  It was a drop on fit.

Ah.... the ones with the batteries do balance the gun out nicely though.

And god it is nice. I've been doing some trials and aside from the normal breaking in problems the stock performs like a champ. With a little extra effort it will last forever!

BTW, any of you attending LC3 can try it out on my M15A4 w/M203. It balances VERY nicely as John said.

I will get one eventually for this reason.  I saw yours (a PRIME, was it?) at John's last time I was there, and recently saw Raiths when I dropped it off as his house.  I must say I like the Zenith better due to the real dimensions and finish.  The Zenith is an EXACT copy of the Crane, whereas the PRIME and STAR are made to fit sub-C battery cells.  I'll probably go with the STAR or PRIME, since I want to hold some big old 3300 mAh cells like you got, Phx.  From the looks of it, the Zenith, even though very nice in fit and finish, could only hold AA cells.

The battery pack, stock, and wiring packages look like the best deal.

I tried saw Pheonix's gun today. VERY nice. The crane stock really balances it out.

M4 Crane stock modification
« Reply #21 on: February 23, 2004, 09:20:33 AM »
I'm in the process of modifying my M4 to accept a Crane style stock with the rear mounted battery pack.  I'll write up a detailed review after it's all said and done.  All I can say at this point is it's not an easy and fast modification.  I've got about 4 hours into it so far including disasembly of the gun and re-wiring of the gear box.

Has anyone else done this yet, and if so would you post your comments on do's and do-not's of the process please.
