Improving gas efficiency?
« on: October 06, 2011, 04:43:47 PM »
Now I have a KJW m9 GBB and I love the thing to death. My problem is that I can't quite finish out a magazine on a single charge. I usually have 3-5 rounds left in the magazine. I'm running propane through it and there is no leaks in the magazine. But is there a way to improve the efficiency? Or is it just because its a cheapo? (Its all plastic, couldn't pass up the deal though).

its actually a clone of the TM tactical master m9.

you can get upgrade kits for it and all kinds of stuff for it
my recomendation would be replacing the loading nozzle cilinder, and the Piston head in there.
Over time they can wear out and cause it to do that.
exspecially if the gun didnt do that when you first bought it.

i know this isnt for the M9,
But this is more of a descriptive pic. these are the two parts you need to replace to get it to finish off tho's 5 rounds.. i had the exact same problem with my kjw 1911.

If i had more time i'd search down the correct ones

well do what slinkey said and make sure your gun is nice and clean. also one thing i do to all my gas guns is sand-to-polish all parts that touch. use like 1000 grit or the highest you can get (as long as it feels smooth ) and dont use anything under like 300 or 400 grit. just work them down till is is as shiny as you can get. but dont sand off a whole lot beacuse it may losen the gun up to much. hope this helps.
