Aimpoint makes a some magnified red dot sights.  I don't know much about them, though.

TO put it simply...They are a scope with either no or little magnification that have a red light or laser projected onto one of the lenses. All red dot scopes are both-eyes-open which means if you look through it with your right you'll magicly see it on the left eye too! Theyre used by all kinds of military units around the world and used for alot of applications.

Search the internet for the most info.  Basically it's a non-mag scope with a red dot superimposed for aiming.

Benn, like Raith said, Aimpoint makes magnification red dots.  They ALSO make a drop-in lens for the Aimpoints everyone has, that provides 2 or 3x (IIRC).  They will work with most replica Aimpoints, and don't cost more than 100 bucks.  A quick trip to their website would answer these questions.

Red dot scope
« Reply #5 on: February 24, 2004, 01:30:02 PM »
Are there any red dot scopes that are greater than a 1X magnification?  I like how the work (took a look a Pancho's at DH) but wouldn't be optimal for "spotter" or recon application when mounted on an AEG.

Just wondering. Thank you as always for your valuable comments.

EDIT: I may have answered my own question.  This isn't a red dot, but would work great for what what I am thinking of:
