reading material on airsoft engineering?

is there any textbooks or any kind of informational media all about the mechanics of a gearbox? I donbt want to be dependent on people as much as i am right now on doing my technical issues, i wanna pull my own weight and not seem useless

Yeah, I don't think airsoft engineering is something taught in school. The people that design them are probably electrical engineers so I doubt there is some sort of textbook on them.
