I personally am a fan of limits on ammo, I play paintball with a pump and 50 rnds, it makes you a better player over time, But how  do you enforce it. Is there some sort of limited ammo magazine or something like that?

I really like the ref shooting you and getting you out, that may be an option....lol

As far as a scenario story line I dont know, I wanted to see what you guys liked and go on from that. I am doing my Red vs Blue paintball game in Feb. thats just kind of a fun intro to scenario paintball game i do every year. it could be adapted to Airsoft easily , but it is more of an intro type game with easy objectives. I do have a story i have been tryin to do, its called Operation "Just Cause". It is the US vs Panama (Noriega).  How into Scifi are you guys? Cuz i have a great 1, Its based off of Jurassic Park and the embryos lost when that guy crashed his jeep in the first movie, The game would be much easier and cheaper to put on for airsoft as i could just rent a T-Rex and Rapter suits

The way to make a regulated ammo game work is to require players to come with empty mags and ziploc bags with XX rounds of their favorite brand of .bb (a lot of people are particular that way)
Honor System is prevalent in airsoft. Most respect that its a game and treat it as such.
Starting with empty mags has another bonus; you can control chrono better (and you SHOULD chrono always -the biggest cheating problem nowdays is the amount of hot-shooting guns).
Keep field fps around 400 for non-snipers.

I should add that with ammo limits, what type of mag doesn't matter.
SF themes work. Look up "Xenomorph" in the search feature. Last year's Zombie game at Vanguard had a big turnout, and featured a "boss" -a huge Rube Goldberg creature with five-foot arms (broomsticks) ..pretty cool.

To add to the realism, why not have an ammo dump.  You can only take 150 rounds into the field but have either ammo carriers on your team or have a a place you have to return to for more ammo such as a command post. You can bring back intel when you pick up ammo.  I dont know, maybe ive seen to many war movies.

Henry, that's a very good idea.

What are the chrono limits for airsoft?

Ammo dump defiantly in, I will look for some more ammo crates at the next gun show

Zombies are always an option for me, but are you down with zombies that can spread the infection to live players eventually leaving just 1 or 2 guys to kill 100s of zombies? (walking dead style)
or
How about "the THING"  I played a paintball game in the snow back east and that was the story like, You could infect players on and off the field by slipping them a card, You did not know who was on your team ever guys would be fighting with you and then just blast you.

Chrono limits vary, but 375 to 400fps measured w/.2's seems to be average. Don't do like Vanguard and limit at 330, most everyone has a "outdoor" gun.
Bolt-action snipers are let in at 500fps+ but there's a minimum engagement distance rule.

Do you use the same chronos as paintball?
Also do you guys use nerf rockets for RPGs?
What is the minimum engagement limit for snipers?

A chrono's a chrono. Please use the search under "AA rules" and such and it'll answer most of your questions.

A Jurassic park would be cool, but hard. Unless it is a force on force with dinosaurs. If not it is unfair by a long shot. i went to the xenomorph game and it was lots of fun. Mostly because i made a tail and tried to melee people with it. Trolololol.
