Just an opinion, but with nice trades and body like that, you really shouldn't paint it. Plus most paint jobs turn out kinda bad. I've seen a very nice gun that after a paint job looked like a banana...

Personally, I always paint my guns!  I paint my buddies guns too.  While some guys go for that 50-dollar, primed, masked, no overspray, professional look; I like the looks-like-it-was dont in the field look.  Special Operators often times take seveal colors of spray paint with them into a new theatre.  After examining the surroundings, they choose which colors would be best, and apply them on the spot.  look at pics of US SOF in Afghanistan, Iraq, Phillipines, etc and try to find a pic of a rifle that ISN'T painted!  Mine is painted right now.  It looks great!

That said, Brown and Tan are great colors over black since the work well in forested areas as well as desert scrub.  We never really play in any dusty, sparsely vegetated areas so stick with a pattern that works.  A few swipes of tan will look great, and be very versatile.  You just need to use the right paint and right COLORS!  Model Paint comes in a variety of colors, but is not durable.  There are other alternatives like Duracoat, Bowflage, etc, but they cn get expensive if you just want to paint a few areas of one rifle.

Find a picture of a scheme you like, and go with it.

How did you deal with painting your trades?  Or do you have trades on your gun Christian?
