So... I've seen these videos, and posts....

I have seen a lot of people that are getting packages? or mystery boxes? My friend apparently had done something and he said he up and all of a sudden got a box with some Airsoft stuff, pistol, ammo, gear, stickers... he couldn't remember why he got it or what he did to get it...

I have seen some people with videos and posts on other sites about it as well... do some of the Airsoft shops give stuff away? or what is the deal? Are some people sponsored by these various shops and that's why they get these boxes of stuff?

Pretty nubbish question I'm sure, but thank you for the replies

I'm confused at what your trying to ask. The only way to get mystery boxes is to buy them, you get airsoft "packages" by being sponsored by retailers such as airsoftstation, and the only other thing I can think of in a case where someone  got something for no reason is because they signed up for a giveaway.
