HWG hosts Black Hawk Down at Fighter Town Oct 7

We are about 3 weeks away from BHD: Battle of Mogadishu. The quickest way to register for the event is to go to HavocWarGames.com and Register Online or players can either register at The Command Post or at the Havoc War Games booth at Vanguard during the KWA Day on Sept. 22.

Havoc War Games staff has added a poll for the upcoming BHD event.

There are only about 10 players who have registered and a few more who have expressed interest.  In years past, many players have registered the week before the game or waited to pay on the day of the event.  Please help our staff determine whether we need to reschedule the game due to the warm weather or cancel the game due to lack of interest or game expense.

I just payed on saturday. you all should Really sign up for this game. I was AT the Blackhawk down In the Marauders Sandbox field and it was fun and intense. you gotta all sign up for this. its gonna be a blast.  Also Someone bring Tacos ^_^.

Early registration will be closing on Friday, Oct. 5th. 

Based upon the current response, the game is scheduled to proceed. However, there may only be one military vehicle as each Task Force will have about 12 participants.

We are still in need of more OPFOR volunteers.

One squad of Task Force Alpha is now full.  There are only 12 spaces left for the mission as we are reducing the number of military vehicles for the game to one.

Registration is open until Friday, October 5 at both The Command Post (19th Avenue and Union Hills) and online at HavocWarGames.com

I would like to thank everyone who came out and participated at today's event. I would also like to remind everyone who attended, that they are invited to participate in our next big game at The Sandbox - Rise of the Insurgents IV: Battle for Damascus for free! Game details will be released later this month.

As the event coordinator, I would like to thank all of the players and volunteers who came out to BHD: Battle of Mogadishu.  We had over 30 participants at the event.  The game featured a military vehicle, smoke grenades, pyrotechnics and blank firing weapons. 

Great job by all of the participants on Task Force Ranger who completed all four missions including the final run during the "Mogadishu Mile".

Hey all,

Just wanted to thank all who came out, Fightertown for the field, and Havoc for hosting the event.

I can only speak from the OPFOR perspective, but my guys had a lot of fun.  You were all talented role-players, and added that special flavor to the game.

Seeing a costumed player death-spasm and get dragged off the field by another guy screaming in quasi-Arabic is a lot more fun to see than someone calling hit & sticking a red do-rag on their head.  And that was just one example.  Excellent job guys.

Hope to see even more come out for RotI ; )

If you haven't ever gone to one of HWG's "scripted" events, don't be talking down about them.  I've gone to two of HWG's Black Hawk Down events, and my teammates and I had a lot of fun both times.  They are not trying to put on an airsoft game with these events; they are far more similar to a military training exercise than anything.  You are still relying on all your tactics and teamwork, just like any other event, so it's not like you can CODsoft it and still accomplish the mission.  HWG ramped it up since the last Black Hawk Down, too.  Seeing a real AK47 firing directly at you (blanks, but still) is a really trippy thing to see, and stretchering an HVT out of a hot zone is surprisingly exhausting.  The whole thing was probably the most realistic "milsim" event I've ever been to, and I never had to play a single game of CTF, or bitch at some noob for not calling his hits.  The entire day was just straight up fun.  Thanks to HWG for putting on the event; my teammates and I will definitely be down for more.  I also would love to see some pictures and video from anyone that had a camera at the event.
