9" or 7" rail on a 10.5" barrel?

Im making a CQB-R build for my m4 and i have the outer barrel (10.5") and i was wondering if i should get a 9" or 7" rail

Depends. Get the 9" if you want to get a flush look, with a low profile gas block. Get the 7" if you want to still be able to use the M4 post sight.

I have king arms folding sights I don't want the front post.

In that case get the 7". If you have a front sight then a 9" will interfere with it

you want a 9 inch, it will leave 1 inch of the barrel exposed. They look sick as hell with the 9 inch

If he gets the 9 inch it will interfere with his folding sight.

okay, if your front folding sight if part of the gas block, get a 7" rail.
but if your front sight is the kind that can mount onto a ris rail (like a magpul front flip up sight for example), then its okay to go with a 9" rail system.
