Whats going on

Hey guys, just thought i would stop by and get some knowledge on airsoft and see what this forum is all about, was told about it from a friend.  I am new to airsoft, haven't bought a gun yet.. I am deciding which one to go with, there are a lot out there.

Any suggestions? I am looking for a metal gear box, preferably AEG, that is both semi and full auto (does that narrow it down some!? lol)... I think my budget for EVERYTHING is around $200 i know that isn't much but don't wanna spend too much and find out this hobby isn't for me which i doubt that'll be the case...

If there are any good "used" ones that someone wants to get rid of hit me up and ill take a look...

If you're looking for something really cheap just to give you a taste of what airsoft is all about, go on the website AirsoftGI.com and check out some of their Lancer Tactical AEGs. Very cheap (right around $80-$120), and supposedly worth the money. If you want something of considerably better quality for just a bit more money, however, I'd recommend a G&G Combat Machine. Great performance for the price, and plenty of models to choose from.

Now, when you say budget for "EVERYTHING", what do you meant exactly? Just a gun, BBs, and some eye protection? Or are you talking a gun, eyepro, tactical gear, BBs, sidearm, extra mags, BDUs, etc.? I ask because the latter of the two will be just about impossible to do with $200.

You remind me of me when I started airsoft. My buddies and I tried to only get guns with metal gear boxes. But the guy above me says it all. Lancer Tacticals do seem to be on the rise, but the Combat Machines have been making a lot of waves too. AirsoftGI is also one of the better, if not best, website to order from. But I would suggest heading to Gearbox before they close. You might find some cheap goodies there, and ammo is on sale. Good people there.
