Vets, can you hear me?
« on: August 06, 2012, 11:38:09 PM »
Alright, my info:
Iraq: Operation Iraqi Freedom Vet.
I was a 19D, Cavalry Scout; Sniper. Call sign, Sabre Zero Sierra

Those of you who do not know what a Cavalry Scout is, there's a reason for that. We are the liberators of the free world. We are the masters of reconnaissance. The first.
We are the Soldiers you see walking by wearing a pair of spurs *respect is earned for those*, or maybe you see a weird soldier wearing a Stetson.
You may of heard of us during wartime, you will hear on the news that soldiers unknown were killed by friendly fire.  We are the first to go beyond enemy lines.
Just like the Marine's motto "First in-" We really are, recon, Marines AND Army. We do a lot more than your normal grunt 11 bang bang. Look it up.

Alright the point of this long, overdrawn message is this;
I'm new in this area, I'm reaching out to Veterans of the West Valley area. I would like to create a platoon of vets. Preferably fellow scouts, weather Marines or Army.
Or mature minded men/women who are eager and willing to train under vets. I need some of you spotters out there, I know you're there. My spotter was my best friend and mentor
who saved my ass more than his share. I learned a great deal from him.  I need minimum 3 sections. 5 Soldiers just like a scout platoon. Close knit.
Navigation is a plus, read terrain features, able and know how to shoot an azimuth at the very least is a plus.  I can teach you the rest. A scout better know his navigation, that's all we have out in the field, a map and compass. No directions to follow. Contact me here or my email. Zachary.culotta@gmail.com
If you're not a vet and are interested, I will interview you.
I have several people wanting me to train them in M.O.U.T. operations, If anyone is interested in that as well, let me know.

Thanks for lending me your eyes, and thank you for at the very least making the first two lines!
