Silicone lubricant

So, most of us use propane in our gas guns, because it's easier to obtain and cheaper as well. Our only downfall (other then the smell) is that we have to keep it lubricated to avoid drying out the gun. There has been stories about places like Auto Zone having lubricants that will work instead of having to order from Evike or AirsoftGi.

So I'm curious what everybody uses and where you can find it.

I picked up a bottle of this at Lowe's once, for use as a general-purpose lubricant. I imagine it would work, yes?

Most Hobby stores that sell high end RC cars & parts have silicone oil, no additives, in different weights for their RC Shocks, I have several bottles of different weights... There is an RC store at the north west corner of 35th Ave & Cactus and another at 35th Ave just north of Glendale Ave on the west side... One might google Factory Team Shock Fluid or just RC Shock Fluid much info there...

I've been using a bottle of CRC heavy duty silicone lubricant (bought at Walmart) with an old duster gas adapter I had laying around.  Up until about two months ago, I was running nothing but GBBR's, and keeping the mags lubed with that kept my fleet in excellent running condition for 2 years of constant propane use.

If you have a Madbull Propane adapter like me, it'll have a small spot to unscrew and put silicon in, this mixes it in with the propane as it passes through the adapter, so it will lube the o-rings and other internal components, you dont need as much as you'd normally do as the consistency is much higher. and in my opinion worked much better than standard spray silicon oil.

hmm, I always thought you could only use a spray. This is good to know.
