Some new and exciting changes are coming to Havoc War Games in 2013. Our intention is to grow the hobby by trying to provide individuals and teams a venue like no other, and best of all, at a lower cost.
When we began this project over 6 years ago, we realized one of the biggest deterrents to creating large scale scenario games was nobody owned their own property and had a facility designed to accommodate such game play that was for the exclusive use of airsoft. And airsoft organizers were always held hostage to the demands and restrictions of the property owner. As owner of The Sandbox, I promise you that this field is dedicated to bringing you the best venue for games at the most reasonable price.
While large scale games with complex plots make for an exciting event, we recognize the higher admission cost of such events can sometimes be a hindrance to get people to try and participate. At the time when we first starting running games, we were using the revenue generated by such events as a way to increase our capital to build out the venue. Now, that major construction is completed, we want people to take advantage of our venue and spread the word about what a great facility it is for outdoor close-quarter combat airsoft.
Our field fee for our future events will be coming way down. In fact, about the only reason we will even be charging a fee is to continue construction with minor improvements year to year, maintain what has already been built, and to help cover the cost of the property taxes.
I love this hobby too much and am proud of what my friends and family have accomplished over the years, and want to continue this endeavor so that we may all keep enjoying our hobby for as long as possible.
