« on: May 08, 2006, 02:39:34 PM »
OK so does anyone knoe how big the difference in size if between these two? I am considering one down the road but it takes those guys forever and a day to answer email and they usually aren't very clear.

What kind of Woosatch? There are two versions. The E, and the A.

The E is the size of the Weesatch, and the A is the size of a Wasatch.

With my experience with the Weesatch, I would go with a Woosatch A. I find the Weesatch not having enough space for everything I wanted on it.

The woosatch has more PALS real estate around the front.

EDIT: oh yeah. and the woosatch doesn't come with embedded mag pouches. But the wasatch does.

Oh crap, I should have said weesatch and wasatch, I would probably be going with the ones that have no embedded magazines since they probably won't fit G36 magazines anyway. Not sure at this point if I will even be able to find a decent modular mag pouch to hold them though. But anyway the weesatch and wasatch are the onse I wanted comparison on. I don't know how big around one has to be to stop being able to fit a weesatch comfortably.

Check out this thread from www.airsoftplayers.com It's got some good info about the G36 mag problem.

Weesatch and Wasatch both have the built-in mag retention systems.

If you DON'T want the built-in mag retention, you want a Woosatch.

Well for the extra $30 I can't imagine not getting the weesatch instead of the woosatch even though the internal pouches on the weesatch won't accomodate G36 magazines. Better to have and not need...

It will hold them, just not as good as it would with an M4 variant.

Did you see what I posted above? This thread says:

Quote
SPECOPS BRAND. The MOLLE/STRIKE compatible SpecOps Brand X-4 pouch, designed to hold 4 M16 magazines, holds 2 G36 magazines perfectly. At $20 it's the best bargain.

SPECIALTY DEFENSE. The SDS AN/PRC126 MOLLE pouch will fit two G36 mags, but it's taller than necessary. Like the BHI Triple AK Pouch, you can put a sock in the bottom for a better fit.

This would allow you to get a woosatch if you wanted. I would actually recomend the wasatch if you were going for imbeded  mag pouches. The reason for this would be because if you were going to put your mags in the embeded pouches, you would only be able to fit one G36 mag per pouch. Therfore, unless you're carrying hicaps, the wasatch will give you the ability to carry more mags easier.

Also. The Tactical Tailor MAV will hold two mags per pouch. These pouches are designed to hold three M4 mags. So they will easily take two G36 mags clipped together.

Here's a pic:

not a huge diff. - do you use the tabs to lock the 2 mags together? if not, cut the tabs off and it may fit better? weesach has a large area of adjustment available through the velcro - it can accomodate a large (read tall) magazine and pretty wide  - .308 mags being the largest I can think of that airsoft emulates. Gewehr 36 is 5.56 = smaller

The Wasatch/Weesatch will hold 2 FAL/M1A mags in the pouches easily.  Not having any G36 mags, I cannot speak specifically about this, but my guess is this shouldn't be a problem.

I currently have in stock the Wasatch and Weesatch in Multicam (plenty of each) and in OD and Khaki (running low on both), along with the shoulder pads for them.

I have no Woosatchs in stock.
