A D-Day salute
« on: June 06, 2004, 11:16:19 AM »
On this day 3 scores ago, thousands of brave men spilled blood on the beaches of Normandy France, in the fields, and in the streets for freedom and eqaulity. On this day 60 years ago, hero's were born and the largest scale battle ever to take place occured. We should honor the brave souls lost and the veterans of D-Day. I didn't sleep much last night due to the horrifying stories I remember hearing from veteran paratroopers about the ride into france, with the flaks blazing rocking their planes back and forth. And the red water at low tide on the beaches... Well I guess there isn't much more we can do than have a few moments of silence to remember and commemerate the Men who died, and the ones who made it.[V]
