Is the battery fully charged?  Is it 9.6v?

The battery is about 1/2 charged, and it is a 9.6v. I'll try charging it all the way.

Gears are not timed correctly.  Check your fuse as well.

Trash,
I belive this problem can be solved in a couple of simple steps...

1) pack up M4
2) drive to see Harley
3) be nice to very large dogs

Well, that's what I did when I had a similar problem with my M4...

Seriously, my issue was the small catch that kept the gear from going backwards was installed facing the wrong direction. John had it fixed up in no time.

hope this helps,

Problem is John put up a post quite awhile back saying he wont be working on peoples guns at the moment.  Its actualy a sticky post on the General topic forum you can read through it to clarify.

What spring did you put into the gun out of curiousity?

It was the battery. I just ran a mag through it, and it's shootin great.
I put in a PDI 170% and the rest are systema (per harley's recommendations [:)])
Before upgrade, I put a clean hole through one side of a soda can and barely dented the other (with .25s)
After upgrade, I put a clean hole through the center of the bottom and dented the top [:D]

edit: Actually, I was surprized how simple it was to take it apart and put new stuff in [:)]
Trying to get the anti-reversal latch to stop flying out was the biggest problem [B)]

edit2: shoule, that was the tutorial I used [:P]

got your self some nice fire power now.  Kinda makes me wish my G3 was in working order.  Rips the bottom cleanly nice.[:D] i got the new m150 spring to replace the 300% in my m24 last night and installed it today and its shooting a nice 430+ with .25's.  rips cans to pieces now lol.  Pierces stait thru the top and dents the bottom a little.  Did some more testing and it shoots almost all the way through two cans lined up never busts thru the back of the second one only enters it.

TM M4 upgrade problem
« Reply #7 on: October 02, 2004, 06:37:27 PM »
Well, I just upgraded my TM M4 with a new spring, new bushing, new piston head, and new piston. I put the mechbox back together, put it in the gun, put the motor back in, plugged in a battery, pulled the trigger, and it made a relatively weak turning sound then stopped. I didn't pull the trigger again to avoid messing up the gears. I havn't re-opened the mechbox yet to look at it, but does anybody know what can cause this?
It seemed like it ran long enough for the gear teeth to catch the piston, then stopped.. so maybe it can't pull the spring back, or just a gear problem?
