The wife and i saw an advance screening on wed of last week. she was the one who really wanted to see it. Im not a fan of Travolta, but i ended up really likeing it. It took me a while to get used to the jumping around in time thing. Flashbacks are one thing, but when the whole movie is going back and forth from current time and flashbacks, its a bit awkward. in the end i really liked it. Good bits of tention and suspense with a fairly solid story and fairly solid characters. Let me just say though that it didnt end like i thought it was going to. I was actualy fairly surprised by the direction at times... better than i had expected. And i wanna know what city let them light a building of that size (real or not) on fire and let it burn that heavy. Crazy stuff. But yea its at LEAST worth a matinee showing. I reccomend it. id say a 7 out of 10 for what its worth.

There wasn't that many parts to pick apart.

One view shows them climbing into a structural fire (via ladder) with no SCBA's on, then the next view shows them coming through the window with SCBA's and masks on.

Another shows a Tiller truck (with ladders AT LEAST 100ft) unable to reach the 8th floor of a building?...................ok

In reference to the building, it was scheduled to be torn down, was bought by the film crew, had a hydraulic floor that can by controlled when to collapse and can be brought back together. They totally re-walled the inside of the building with high grade aluminum so the actual fire they used would not destroy the building. Great movie when it comes to realistic equipment, although his PASS device should have been a deafening bit louder.

EDIT: The ventillation was right on! Loved it. I know some of you have to have at least seen previews for it. I'll be seeing it a second time for sure!

I saw it yesterday and I really liked it.

Before nit-picking it too much.. read what others have already done on imdb:

Has anyone seen it?

I saw it last night, and let me say that it had mixed reviews. It had a few flaws, but I loved it. One thing that bugged me was a few of the fire fighters didnt wear their Nomex hoods. The smoke was a lot for a movie. It had a good plot, but I wish it had a little more character development. If youve seen it, let me know what you think.
