Don't forget that an MSG90 is also a true sniper rifle. HK built it as the economic version of the PSG 1.  Also how can we instantly consider a G3 series rifle normal when the real rifle uses the sniper .308 round. and yes I know this is airsoft, So no smart ass remarks.

Because the way AA rules are set up.. a true sniper rifle can only be capable of semi auto or single fire.  If it can fire on full auto it is disqualified.  Remember we're talking Airsoft now and we have to do some things differently.  It doesn't matter what the real world counterpart does or how it's applied, we're focusing on what the Airsoft gun will do.  So that's why we limit sniper guns to PSG-1's, bolt actions, and specially modified AEG's that can only fire in semi auto mode like a Knight's Armament M25.

Hope that clears it up.

I completely understand and I know that you can also buy MSG lowers. I don't know if the lower stops the gearbox from going full auto though. But if it did or if you made to go semi auto only I could use it, Correct?

Yes but it has to be a permanent modification, not just a pin or something quick and dirty to stop it.  PSG-1 gear boxes are different than a normal AEG and have to be modified to go full auto.

It all depends on how you work, really.  A semi-auto precision AEG like a PSG-1 or a custom SR-25 or a Dragunov would be more suited to a person who preferred to stay mobile, in close proximity to the team he/she is supporting.  It would also be more suited to a person who does not have a regular spotter, since while the PSG-1 isn't exactly ideal in a firefight it's still faster and more mobile than your usual bolt-action gun.
A "traditional" precision rifle, like an M40A1, or an M24 - a bolt-action rifle, in other words - is better suited to someone who preferrs to operate stealthily, using hides, ghillies, etc.  in the manner of snipers as portrayed in popular literature.  The higher power levels attainable with a bolt-action airsoft gun, as well as the greater rigidity and durability of the platform, make it more suited to that role.
That's not to say you can't build a bolt-action precision airsoft gun that isn't suited to a dynamic operating style.  I've seen illustrations of real weapons equipped with long-eye-relief sights, front hand grips, and shorter barrels that make them very quick and handy, but on the whole a semi-auto is a more dynamic weapon, a bolt-action is a more static one.
