But while on the subject of those Desert Eagles. I would like to give my two cents on them. I went down to SAD just to look at those, because I heard they had them. First off they feel like your picking up a brick becuase they are so heavy and akward. Second even with a full CO2 cartrage you can only get one mag out on the full auto. Third the full auto Rate of Fire is one of the slowest airsoft guns I have ever fired. I think they are ok but I would not spend the money that they are selling them for.

Yeah, I played against a kid that had one.. so pathetic. I fired it at SAD, and they are.. well, on a 1-10 scale, 2. I give it a 2, cause a 1 is a springer and therefore, 2 is as low as it CAN go.

They're inaccurate, and at the end of every mag that means you need to change the co2 cartrage, they're FULL AUTO! WTF! Desert eagle! Full auto! They're  two-tone pieces of s...

Woah boy calm down there..

What I would really like to see is companies putting out MORE and better gas guns and AEG's instead of wasting their time with Pimped out Chrome Plated M9's and DEAGLES(Cringe...) I would personally like to see a 9000S GBB for concealed carry when needed, or maybe some affordable mass-produced custom slides & frames.

Agreed, but you have to understand that the companies that makes these springers and such are low-end manufacturers that are more geared toward high-turnout, low-quality guns.  Companies like CyberGun and other crappy makers (that I don't even care enough about to know their name), don't even make nice AEGs.  On the other hand, companies like G&P and Classic Army make quality AEGs and accessories almost exclusively.  Each company makes something different.

I agree it sems that the "pimped" guns are being directed at the stereotypical "gangbanger" type flash. Not good for airsoft. It just gives the young-uns' the idea that they are "cool" to have a "pimped out gat". Standard finnish always seems the best in the field to me.

It could easily attract more of that kind of people that like to do "drive by's" with paintball guns to get something like that or an aeg while they're at it to have "fun", as well.

Oh, my brother was shot by one and he says they hurt like HELL and more, but after the first shot, you don't need to worry.. they won't hit you.

I'm trying to convert alot of paintball players here in Havasu to Airsoft and maybe some other people. I'd like to compile a list of why people play airsoft.

Wow, wraith, you really got the group wound up! The best thing about airsoft is the honor. You call yourself out when you're hit with no dependence on a big blob of paint to keep players honest.  We build a lot of friendship and comaraderie around that point of honor. Oh yeah the milsim aspect is great with the structure and the scenarios but it's the honor that really sets us apart from other 'play gun' games

Hearing woody speak reminds me of the days of playing "guns" when I was younger..There was absolutely nothing to prove you hit the other guy..Which is why the age old arguement of "I hit you, no! I hit you!" always starts..

It makes me laugh now to think that pro paintball teams teach their players to "wipe":P

The "I Hit You, NO I Hit YOU" arguement doesn't happen at the regular AA games.  People who earn the reputation of not calling hit when they are seldom are seen after a few games.  On the field that argument doesn't happen, but in camp, on the sidelines and on the boards people are quickly throw the "WTF" flag and it gets Nasty.  Busta busss you of all people know how quickly the heat gets applied!

I went paintballing..

Ok, so it was horrible. You can easily dodge the paintballs with no skill.. and the croud goes "OOOH SKILL!!" And it's a 100% screw around game, I wouldn't mind doing it to relax from the seriousness of airsoft. But I prefer airsoft any day.

I got pegged in the head, so I Called myself out.. I poked my leg out, and it got drenched in paintballs. Then, I poke my gun out and it got drenced as well. Then, I think "I gotta just run towards the door!".. BAD IDEA! The whole other team thought I Was making a break for it. Lets just say it didn't go as planned.

Airsoft is better in all ways, cept' one.. they welcome newcomers like mad. Which, from what Greg says makes sense.. the whole comercial enterprise dealio makes sense. on how they depend on new people to come play to stay in business, so they need to be nice to them.

Oh, something else I Realised..

Airsoft (Military sim) = Marine lovers
Paintball (... who knows) = Navy fanatics.

Makes sense ;-). But who wants paintballers takin em to war?!?!
