Battery blues!!!
« on: April 29, 2005, 08:48:32 AM »
I need to know where I can get a 9.6 1100 stick battery. AEX is sold out of them and my AK-74U does not stay charged for long with a 1050. I may have to go to Battery plus and have them make me one it thats an option. Has anyone had them make you a battery and it work great?

Do you really think the 50mah difference will matter?

If you are using a NiCd, have you been conditioning your battery, comrade?  You should discharge it completely with a discharger, slow charge it to full, then repeat a couple more times.  This repeated use breaks down the crystalization of the internal chemicals, the reason behind the memory effect.

Sounds interesting its worth a shot. I just got it so it has not been conditioned in the way you state. I still need a larger battery AEX says this one will only be good for a max of 1000 rounds anyway. I also treat my battery's very well discharging them and all.

I had Batteries plus make a (Nickel Metal 9.6V 3300mah Sanyo cells) battery at a very reasonable cost. I've only charged it twice in the last 2 months after going through about 6 small skirmishes. I had to have gone throught at least 1000 rounds per skirmish. Sorry, I can't tell you exactly how long it lasts, but it is plenty for what I've used it for.

I tried looking at http://www.onlybatterypacks.com, they seem to only have 600mah stick batteries.

Remeber the larger the MAH, the more shots you can get off before a battery change.

In what gun did you use that battery for? Was it an AKS?
