It's an extremist organization.

I really hope they don't interfere with local and federal LE.

They won't interfere, only use up valuable resources.  Instead of investigating crimes, LE will be following these guys around waiting for them to make a mistake so they can bust them.  Waste of everybody's time.  The government needs to do something about illegal immigration.

I was watching some news report that said something like 50% of the people who illegally cross the border are wanted for crimes. Now I doubt that number is accurate, but I can see the Minuteman project as a kind of venting for a nation (or at least the states that have to deal with it) plagued by illegal immigration.

Not to get too off topic, but I don't like a bunch of Amnesty Now hippies telling me I have to love the Mexican culture and just lay down and watch my country be overrun by people who have no intention of contributing to society.

Granted, shooting every illegal crossing the border is not the way, but some people should realize legitimate American citizens have to live around illegals and deal with them.

Maybe he was talking about Americans crossing the Canadian border?  Heheh.
