The only thing I was afraid of, is the "what if" factor.  What if a spark doesn't stay inside and hits a dry patch of grass.  I'm going to test them thoroughly, but still...  I have two currently (I ordered several), and have 6 flashbangs and 3 baseballs on the way.  They were backordered, so expect a little bit of delay.

Yeah, well, you can ignite those caps with your fingernail. Used to do it as a kid. It rarely left a burn of any sort. Plus, it looks like it goes off in a relatively "contained" container.

I don't think those would be a problem, I just bought some for myself!

I agree with Delta that they are enclosed, the spark would have to jump a couple of inches and probably cannot generate enough heat to actually ignite something.

If you look at the page where they sell caps its the ring caps though so maybe all 8.

I'll let you know when it shows up, I'm thinking it takes more than one, the website says they are really lound, a single cap isn't loud at all, but a strip of them is!

:D  I just got grenades from Ultor and I love them. The rubber is not very hard so you need to be carefull what you throw them at but the nice thing is, I didn't have to use my credit card online and, so far, he's got the cheapest price on reenactment style grenades.

I too have a couple of Ultor's grenades. Great deal for the money.

What's the status on you fellows working on the audible insert? I'll commit to buying four when you offer them for sale. Heck, I'll even ride to Tucson for 'em.

I picked up a few of these to see how well they work...

Positives:

1. LOUD! a single cap can be heard very clearly
2. Reasonably priced. Baseballs are 8 bux per, includes shipping.
3. Simple. Easy to use - almost too easy....

Negatives:
1. Tricky to load - use tweezers to insert cap over the impact fitting.
2. Flimsy - made from a painted juice-like bottle - thin plastic. Solution - use Bondo or other fibreglass painting material to beef 'em up.
3. Prone to explode prematurely. Be careful when you pull the pin, it may go off.

but for 8 bux..... they will work.
