Same here.  There is a reason why 50/50 NyCo Twill is referred to as "Winter Weight", and the ripstop version of the same blend referred to as "Summer Weight".

After having worn both in a hot humid climate during BCT, I can say without a doubt that the twill breathes less, dries slower, and retains more heat than the ripstop.  As for fading, it's about the same but the twill seems to fade a tiny bit more.  

For garrison, I prefer the look of a starched and pressed twill BDU over the ripstop treated the same way.  Then again, I can count the number of you that this is relevant to on one hand.  ;)
