Trying to get some gear, and getting shot in the hand over the weekend I decided I should get a pair of half finger gloves, any recommendations?

Buy full finger gloves, borrow a pair of scissors.... let your imagination run wild.

First off, what is your budget for these?

On the low end, you can't go wrong with Mechanix gloves like Robert pointed out.

If you want the best gloves money can buy, get some Southwest Motorsports Friction Fighters or Max Grip gloves.  Matt (Raith), myself, and even ocmsrzr (LT Dennis Jordan from LC) use the Friction Fighter and they are the sh*t!  Downside?  They cost about 70 bucks.  They will last forever and the company is local.

For 18 bucks at Checker Auto the Mechanix Gloves are great.  First thing i did when i brought them home was take the cans of krylon Od and Brown to break up the black.  Since i have long fingers i wear a XL size glove, fits great and they arent bulky so getting to your trigger isnt a problem.
