Well the mask stopped 30+ shots from a KJW MK1 shooting 415 fps at different angles, distance(from barrel touching screen to 3 feet away and inbetween), and locations on the mask's screen and face plate(most shots were on the screen) Results, stopped them all but, left those white marks and a tiny dent from 3 shots in same location point blank!
Now go and do the same to yours!

I did on my Bolle T800s.  It was about 65 rounds from an AEG though, and the distance was a bit greater.

It took me several hours to completely remove the white marks from the lenses.

I took mine and splashed battery acid on them.  It stopped the acid from getting to my eyes 100%.  Also stops dust, cactus needles, ground glass and who knows what else might by flying at my eyes.

Now go and do the same to yours!  ;)

Hate those white marks! Everytime I get a new pair of eye protection, I pop um with the Mk1, always at least 1 white mark.

Ahhh! quote didn't work right!

Ok now, thats like the T800s stopping a 12g shot. I'm going with eye sight as very, very important. But I don't know what will happen to the rest of my head.
I'll post pics later    ;)

My point is, eye protection is more than just stopping a BB.  It's also preventing pretty much ANYTHING from getting to your eyes.  Hence the reason you see most sites/events requiring ANSI rated eye protection... which wire masks would not be.  My eye sight is very important too, that's why I don't use a wire mask.  ;)

In all the years i've played airsoft i don't ever remember having to worry about battery acid being splashed in my face at a game. :P

Thanks for a heads up Jeremiah, I'll try to make it down to J.T. the wire mesh will be a good back up.
