Thats your personal opinion sarge.

My grandfather fought bravely in WW I and was killed by mustard gas.
My opinion is that these people deserve respect, and please, tell me how I contradicted myself.

Do you mean your Great grandfather, My grandfather fought in the Korean War and tail end of WWII, Now my Great Grandfather Saw action in WWI as a German Officer....Yes I am of German descent!
My Dad was in Nam 69-71 and Desert Storm....Me I fought at LC IV........I wasted my Twenties away

So my family has a rich military background

You said he had no right to bash, then described how vets have fought for our rights.  Bashing is one of those rights, IMO.

I agree that they deserve respect, but who am I to demand it?  They are American and have free will and the right to say whatever the hell they want.  That's what makes this country beautiful - you have access to both opinions of the matter.

Bashing is NOT one of those rights. Review the constitution and just because it's your opinion, doesn't mean it's true.
Just because you don't demand it doesn't mean it's not suppost to be there. Respect is everything.
Free speech even has it's limit.
