They fight and Kill. There everyday citizitens are ready to die to defend there way of life.

If the day ever comes when the majority of Iraqis take up arms and start fighting us over there or even just throwing stones at our soldiers.  Then that will be the day we should pull out and let them wallow around in their own mess.  But as I see it right now, most Iraqis want us there, while the minority are religious zelots who are running around taking pot shots at our soldiers.  We dont need a draft for this, need to finish with Iraq then afgan, while at the same time deal with korea peacefully. Lets face it Korea is scared s***less.

Sorry, overall these things just seem insignificant compared to dealing with the USSR when it was in power. Some of you may even remember the flash and duck technique or the air sirens.

You definitely hit it on the head. However, the reason we only hear about the terrorist attacks is because of the media.

i think it should be all or nothing, stop putting small amounts of troops here and there to keep peace, send the whole F***ing army in. either flatten them entirlely or let thier menial resistance kill each other off and have us not there at all. the way things are going now is starkly similar to the way vietnam was handled. people too afraid to do everything it took to win. politicians and presidents promising a victory that could never come with the nominal forces in combat at the time. i dont think we should be fighting this war but since we are we might as well play to win. id rather see us completly crush all the insurgents in one swoop, with casualties all at once then go on seeing these hoodlums nickle and dime our forces by attacking convoys and helicopters every week. were making the same mistake the soviets made in afghanistan. any how thats just my opinion right or wrong.
