I am to the point now that I will only read topics if I see Someone Like Woody, Mikey, Christen,Matt, ETC, ETC posting

Oh Welcome back Kyle...... ;)

Sadly, I'm almost to that exact point. But, in my opinion.. that's stupid to do. I'm not CALLING you and me stupid, just saying that's a stupid thing to do on our part. Just to talk to the "cool" and important guys is lame. It gives the output that you want to be like them, so you only talk to them. Although, I know that's not true, because you have no reason to do that. And you're one of the guys that I look up to, anyways.. so you still fall into the category of "Hey.. he posted.. I'll post..".

Another thing, if everyone thought that way.. then.. nothing would change.

Damn, can't sleep tonght.

Nate, I scan this board as well as a few others that address my different hobbies/interests. I don't take anything on the internet too seriously. It's like yelling at the television.. It's supposed to be entertainment.

I do get info about who/what/when/where pertaining to games each month, and have learned a lot of minutae about guns, maintaining them, gear, etc.

Seems to be two constants about internet forums; -Each one I've been to has a eclectic mix of posters, with SOME opinion about SOMETHING, And I've found that whatever we commit to writing, -no matter how benign our intent is.. It will be mis-interpeted by someone reading it. It's impossible to see someone's face or hear the inflection in his voice in print.

I just enjoy the whole internet thing, and realize it's limitations, FWIW.
Goodnight. (It's like 4;30 am)
Chip

I've noticed a distinct change toward the trite and mundane in our forum, and we're now seeing threads that regularly depart into the bizarre;

  Ummm, we ARE bizarre.  We go out and shoot at each other on a regular basis.  ;)
