Boot Camp
« on: July 15, 2005, 01:51:09 PM »
If Best of USA Marketing came out here and put on a boot camp, would you go? This is the group that brings you Lion Claws and other large scale operations every year across the country. The training would be conducted by nationally recognized former military who are avid airsofters as well.

I see that the one they were going to hold in Kali took a dump.  What a shame.  I would have liked to have participated in that one with my son.  (But then, I'm broke this month anyway.  Frrrrrrrip!)

I think mark was trying to put one together before LCIV with John Lu. It fell apart.

John gave me specific numbers required to make it work. I'm trying to see, from the various sources of airsofters, if there would be enough interest to justify putting it together.

I think Mullen is the one who "puts these on"... But It's more about teamwork and stuff like that then individual training from what I remember John and I talking about...

thats what i want! To spend a good whole weekend getting yelled at by a dick in a hat, doing push-ups and reading military books. that sounds like a good time. id much rather go to an op, spray people with my gun and have some real fun.

That's not what it's like..Its a team building kind of thing, no real physical tests maybe besides doing some running in gear and stuff like that. No one yells at you, if you ever met the guy who does it, he is pretty calm even when SHTF and is the same in the LCBC stuff so I have heard.

Yeah, Ive never been to one but I doubt it would be anything like real military boot camp.  The whole reason they (the MTI's, Drill instructors etc) are so mean is to get you prepared for actual military.  Theres no reason for that with airsoft

The point of the boot camp is to teach weapon safety, individual and team movement, and a readers digest version of some basic infantry stuff.

I'm all for that.

Not for me (BTDT), but I can think of a few guys who could use a quick teach-up on the way to hold a gat and run through the bushes.

I'd even help out in any way I can, keep me posted.
