WE Hi capa Co2 cartridge magazines

For anyone that has used the new WE Co2 magazines. What do you think about them? I purchased one and shot through one cartridge. Not real impressed about the power of Co2. I haven't been able to really test the range and accuracy or to see if there is a real difference. I just aimed at a box. My judgment is still out on them.

Let me know what your thoughts are.

My guess is that it'd chrono within 2-3fps of each shot.

I held off getting one as the Co2 cartridges are pricey and doubts as to how fast one can be reloaded.

I plan on buying 2 of them today or tomorrow.  Ron told me that the co2 mags shoot about the same fps as the red gas mag...with tha added bonus of a few more round capacity.  The only thing I dislike about the mag is that it sticks out of the mag well 2 1/2".

I didn't count the actual rounds it holds but they're supposed to hold 40 vs. 30 in the stock mag. The kick didn't seem as hard as green gas.

The other upside is that CO2 will have a better stability over a wider temp range than green gas will.

We need to chrono those mags, see what there hitting. If its a little lower than what you all expect, drilling the valve out a little bigger would make a huge signifigance. M79 could do this very easily, basically you can make it shoot what you want it to shoot. Co2 has incredible PSI pressure.

So, we have done some field testing at the August 6th Corral game. Keep in mind this was around 9AM, with a temperature of around 90-95 degrees. I chronoed my WE Hi-capa with .20 BB's and Co2 cartridges around an average of 310-315fps. With 134a gas and .20 BB's it was around an average of 320 - 330fps. At times with 134a it was close to 340fps. Keep in mind this is a non official test with many shots fired throughout the morning.

Like Reaver stated above. The Co2 showed its stability to withstand its expansion to heat with a more consistant performance. The 134a showed it unstability as the heat began to rise throughout the morning and the gas began to expand and increase pressure.

I tested Red Gas, got about 320 FPS.
