Gaza Pull-out

Watching Israelis dragged into buses, kicking and screaming and their homes taken from them, breaks my heart. :cry: This isn't right, this isn't fair. The Gaza Strip belongs to the nation Israel, not Palestinians. There was no Plaestine, it was just a bunch of Arabs that decided they wanted their own country so they banned together and said the land belongs to them. The reason this pull out happened was to stop terror, but what most don't understand is this will make terror in Israel worse. The terrorist are being rewarded for all their terror and they will continue to attack Israel, till the nation is wiped off the face of the planet. O Lord, please save your people!

Im with you on this one.  Gaza is just a pawn in the game that will never end until the palestinians are happy--and the only way for them to be happy is to push the jews into the sea.  On the news we see hamas militants rallying and celebrating in the streets at this new victory against israel.  Next, its the entire west bank.  After that, its jerusalem.  Soon, those israeli's who havent already figured this out will realize they must eventually take back this land or they will be forced to live with the fact that they voluntarily gave it to the very terrorists that attack them daily.  As for peace in the region--that requires two parties who are BOTH willing to make compromises and BOTH comitted to peace.

Well, someone could argue, and quite easily, that the nation of Israel shouldn't exist.  It was the Palestinian's land, theirs until the almighty and all knowing UN stepped in, told them it was now another country, and that they needed to get the hell out.  The Palestinians have a legitimate gripe with Israel.  It still doesn't excuse their methods.

The prophecies in the book of Ezekiel are being fulfilled. Look at Chapter 4. It  decribes that siege of Jerusalem in the end of days.

According to artifacts found in Israel, the land originally belonged to the philistines and Canaanites not Palestinians, and then the state of Israel took the land from the philistines and Canaanites. There was no Palestine there... ever. There was however a Palestine around that time, but it was located in Syria. The group of people that call themselves Palestinian today can not even link their heritage to the ancient Palestine!

Cmptrdewd, I don't know if you are up on history, but in 1948 the Balfour Declaration gave a large portion of the country of PALESTINE to the Jewish refugees of the holocaust. Prior to 1948, there was an equal balance of both Jews and Arabs living in the country. After the Balfour declaration, a population influx caused the majority to shift and throw the delicate peace out the window. Technically, the Israelis took the Palesitnian's away from their land (ie: West Bank, Gaza, etc.) shortly after WWII.

No, no, no, and no. I urge you to look at a world atlas dating prior to 1948, and look at today's Israel.

The palastinianes need to be shipped off to some nasty place in africa where swarms of Hootoo tribesmen can eat them for food.

The PLOand palastinianes are ZERO's in my book.

But as Isreal took over the land-they might as well had kept it-as this is just going to turn into another festering  trud in the middle east.

The jews have just as much of an ancient right to inhabit the area as the palestinians do.   The jews were scattered from their lands roughly 2500 years ago in whats called the diaspora.  After WWII the holy land was occupied and split between the jews and the arabs.  The Israeli's declared independence and now we have israel.  The original seperation of land was fairly even but the arabs made the mistake of trying to TAKE IT ALL and they ended up losing even more land (a mistake the arab states would make again later).  

Historically, the palestinians have never settled for what they have.  They will not stop until there is no israel.  Therefore giving them more room to launch their mortars is just ridiculous.

Whoa, slow down man.  It was actually after WWI that the area we're talking about came under British control.  Then, after WWII and the decision of the UN, it was split and the nation of Israel was created.  Almost immediately, 6 arab nations attacked them (though only a few of them really fought, if memory serves), and during the war, many of the Palestinians fled or were forced out of Israel, where they had lived for thousands of years.  They have also been denied access to some of their holy sites.  It's understandable why they're angry.  It's also understandable why the Israelis are angry.  Bad situation.
