Poormans Chrono...

i have an odd story, my CaM15 couldnt shoot through the bottom of a soda can but it can easly go through the sides. Last night i just took apart my hop-up and relubed everything. Now according to the poor mans chrono im getting 480fps, yes ladys and gents i can shoot through the bottom and shoot through the top. Any reasons why im getting this now with a simple hop-up/barrel clean?

Weak can perhaps? Shootin' way too hot for any practical applications.

yeah, thats what i though. But i have tried many different cans, pepsi,coke,sprite,mountaindue,energy drinks. I get the same responce from all of them

Wait for a game and then crono it properly, not to doubt the poor mans crono but there is less reason to doubt a digital crono.

how far away to you shoot when you do the poor mans chrono test?

i shoot about 2 inches away....im going to perform a measured test.....1 sec

ok Test Results

Bottom Edge/Center ( goes through both )
1-2in Leaves a clean hole
5-6in Leaves a clean hole, but the odd thing is...it leaves a bigger hole from the 1-2inches shots. And yes on different cans

Top Edge
1-2in It only goes through from 1-2inches away

and if i remeber correctly, the redwolf instrutions state to perform the test from 1-2inches away

completely odd...

Christian, you don't need his lube. Just run some gray gas and you'll be waaayy over 480.

So. How does this poormans crono work? I tried it with my M4 from 2-4 inches and it went through both sides (the sides, not the top and bottom). How fast would that be?

It would also depend on how far the bb went after you shot it out of the can. :D
