M203 w/ footballs?
« on: November 28, 2006, 03:28:19 PM »
I am trying to get a m203 setup going, I was curious about those who use the nerf vortex footballs.  Do you guys reccomend the regular ones or the howler kind, is there a benifit to either of the two.

Thanks for your help in advance.

The howler ones are better, but their availability is their real downfall.

Is their velocity consistant with the non howler types?  I didnt know if the howler piece would make as good of seal in the tube as the non type.

What you can do is go buy a nerf cannon (sorry i dont know the real name) and it coms with 4 rounds (howlers) and they fit in most Mad Bull launchers, you just have to trim the fins, plus you get a supercool nerf cannon. all in all its like 7.99 so its not too expensive

Where do you buys those at?  Can you post a link?

To answer the 203 question. The only difference between the regular and howler types is sound. Most like the whistle effect as it adds to the over all effect.  The whistle gets peoples attention so that they will hopefully see where the round hit. With no whistle effect it increases the chances for people to miss seeing where the round hit so they can call themselves out.

apparently Nerf cancelled the cannons buy toy can still trim down one of theese for use in a M203, you just need to cut the tail section off and trim the football part

 hope this helps
