I agree with ya guys that the caravan was moving to fast and i was in the bunch. I hate leaving people behind. I had no radio to even find out about where we were going so i had to speed up. This should have been delt with in a better manner. If i even knew where we were going i would have stayed behind. Hope this doesnt happen again.

Bummer.

We made it clear on the radio where we were going next since the original AO was gated.  4 peaks AO is 4 peaks AO, we didn't go anywhere new.

I went the speed limit the whole way to BOTH AOs.

Everyone else, including the guy with the 4-cylinder 4 runner, made it ok.

I have been playing airsoft for a while, and I have never had this happen to me.

Consider yourself lucky.

I've seen it happen at three games so far.

And i've only been to six.

You know.. I think, when I've been to almost 20 games in 2 years, and this has never happened to anyone I know at any game I go to, but it happens to you, that many times, then here could be the possible reasons:

A. It's everyone elses fault, but yours. Everyone is going to hell, because they all suck, but you're not at fault.

B. It's probly.. you. You knew damn well people drive that fast, and you knew that your 'vehicle' couldn't drive that fast, then hitch a ride with someone else.

Why didn't you PM someone for clear directions, and write it down? I know you tried to ask Christian, and he said dont complicate it, but if he wasn't willing to help you out, then you can..

A. SEARCH for other directions. The Serch feature is your fucking friend. No-one ever remembers that.
B. Ask someone else that you think knows and start from there.

I have to say that I have attended a game at Florence and the pack of cars went down the dirt road at 70mph, NO way I was going to try to go that fast in the dust with a deep canel off to one side, and never have went down the road before.

FLASH

Bullsh*t, nobody else complained about the speed and it was more like 45mph, quit whining.

You again? 45 or 70? it doesnt really matter because there was so much dust kicked up that I was UNABLE to see the raod, unwilling to risk my life trying to keep up through the dust, and impossible to keep up because of the dust and speed.

Point in fact, there was NO REASON to go any faster than 20mph down that canel road. At your supposed speed of 45, if you blew a tire you would have been in the canel.

Lasivian/Stormfire, it truely sucks that you got left behind and it was by no means done on purpose.  The unexpected happened that we did not plan for so we made a quick decision to move back down to Four Peaks Recreation Area.  It sounds like if you just went a mile more down one of those roads you would have ran into us.

This game wasn't meant as some big gathering of players from across the state, but rather a smaller, informal game to get our gun on.  There was no secrecy or paranoia involved in the planning of this game as it was posted on a public forum and anyone was welcome to attend.  There was not the huge amount of planning or posting involved that you would see with other monthly games were the turnout would be at least doubled what it was at this one.  Had this been an Official AA game you would have seen the specific directions you wanted.  And this is why I don't understand why Mooncruiser was not able to find the AO for last months game when he was unable to keep up with the caravan (Chip, please do not take this as a flame or attack, I wasn't there so I can't know for sure).

In the last 5 years of going out to various locations across the state (and nation!) to play airsoft and leading the caravan most of those times I have never lost anyone.  Some people will meet at the meet and greet place, and some will just go ahead to the AO.  With large groups of vehicles caravaning it is always a good idea to split the groups up into 3 or 4 vehicles per group as things like traffic or road conditions can split up a large group anyway.

Again, it really sucks that this happened to you and your girlfriend.  I was looking forward to playing some airsoft with you as I only know you by what you post here in these forums.  Its always nice to put a face to a name.  BTW, mine is Mike.

Oh well, hopefully we can all be better prepared for the unexpected next time.

You have made your point clear, so in the interest of keeping this from turning in to a flame war I am locking this thread.  PM me if you have any other concerns on this topic that you want to add.
