I'm looking to carpool with someone. I'm willing to drive, as long as they pitch in for gas. Any takers? Preferably someone who lives in the Glendale/Peoria area that I can pickup on the way there.

Alright, we are getting close to game time, and I thought of a few issues that might arise.  Consider the following reminders:
1.  It's going to be cold.  Probably as low as 30 degrees in the early hours.  You will NEED to wear something warm, but keep in mind the team assignments and dress accordingly.  To avoid potential IFF issues, wear your snivel gear UNDERNEATH your BDU/DCU tops.  Dress in layers so you can peel them off as it warms up.  Depending on which team you're on, you will be running and creating alot of body heat, so consider this when assembling your uniform for the morning.  This is mostly an issue for US Forces, as the afghan team can wear whatever they want (other than camo).

2.  Eat a decent meal the night before, and bring high-calorie items to eat during the game.  You'll need this to stay warm.  Also drink plenty of water!  Even though it's cold, you still need to hydrate because you will sweat just as much.  I suggest room-temperature water, rather than cold water.  The cold night air will be dry, and you'll need to drink just as much as on the hot days.

3.  GET YOUR KIT READY THE NIGHT BEFORE!  You will only have 10 minutes to kit-up in the morning, and we won't wait for you.  Load your mags, fill your pouches, fill your camelbak/canteens, and put your charged batteries in your gun.  All you should have to do in the morning is put on your gear and sling your weapon.

I'm working out mission details, but I can assure you this will be a different kind of game.  A flexible attitude will be an asset during this operation.

Anyone who is manning a machinegun position or those who would like to help set-up, meet at the AO at or around 0300 on gameday.  We will have to dig and create the MG positions, put up some camo nets, and walk the field for any outstanding hazards.  I'd also like to cover any cacti with orange engineers tape so guys don't get stuck.  A good portion of this game will take place in the dark, or dimly lit hours, so it will be more hazardous than usual.

Items that can be of help in the morning, and during the game are:
-shovels
-orange or yellow engineers tape, or caution tape.
-smoke.  The kind from Laradas will do.  These will used during the game.
-flashlights.  Everyone should have at least 1.
-Chemlights, or re-useable glowsticks.  A red one is a good idea for deaths.
-extra radios
-extra red rags
-extra shemaghs for Afghan fighters

If you have any questions or concerns, let me know via PM.  Thanks guys!

Good advice about the cold, Christian. I live at about the same elev. out here in Roosevelt as the game field, and it's been DAMN cold last few mornings. Expect temps 10-20degrees colder than in the Valley proper.

As I write this, I'm looking to be in my shop all night. I'll miss the game, but I wish you all a good time.

And so, I just got home from taking a final exam. (which is why my dad is there in place of me...argg!)

So, I am dying to see pictures of what was probably our coolest game all year.

Pretty good time all. We (afganis) dominated the American infidels! Thanks for having me out and shooting me in the face   Looking forward to playing again.

Dude we so owned you guys!!! We let you come up the hill by keeping back toward the ammo dump in the very end. In other words we kind of helped you guys win. Reason being it would not have been historicaly accurate. Also we felt bad about how bad you guys were demoralized.   Myself and several others started running around, like a buck of jack-sses hip firing, and running after you guys. I was having so much fun, and laughing till the tears came. That was the most fun I had in a long time. Vince you running off with the ammo cans was hillarious. I cant wait to play with you again.
