Tactical gear rack
« on: December 24, 2005, 07:51:22 PM »
I was wondering if this would be a good buy.

http://www.diamondbacktactical.com/dbtc ... 97C90.aspx

I was looking at some others by Diamondback but i don't know which would be best.

Also if i was going with a desert BDU would camel tan or coyote brown go best with it? :-k

Edit: Also, if anyone has any suggestions on any good kits please tell me.

Well, buy it. If you don't like it, sell it for almost what you payed. Find out what works, if it works for you, then good.

That should hold everything you'd need except water, and you could just wear a Camelbak on your back.

I've never used or seen one, but it should be a pretty good general purpose all in one solution to gear carriage.

Either will work fine, though the the Camel Tan will be closer in color to 3 color desert BDUs.  I find the Battlelab Camel Tan color to be a bit too light for my tastes.  Any color other than black will do just fine.

DBT also has a similar item that is covered in PALS webbing on front, instead of the pouches. You'd have the benefit of moving pouches around and adding/removing pouches depending on what works for you.

It's a good kit.  I had the all-molle version, and it worked fine.

Like Raith said, it will carry anything you need but water.

I've owned several BattleLad items and they were all legit.

Sweet, thanks for the advice. As for the MOLLE or PALS webbing, i am going to lay off on that until i get a decent amount of money to pay for the extra pouches and such. I will order this and probably a camelback backpack as well.

BattleLad?  Is that like a tactical caddy?  Awesome.

"Another mag, sir?"

"Yes... 30 round, 62 grain."

"Yes, sir."

Vince, seriously bro, no one is going to steal your idea.

I think you might be the only one using one if it gets made.
