To the best of my knowledge the only AEPs are the ones TM makes.  As I understand it AEPs basically have a miniaturized AEG gearbox, and therefore are about as reliable as a normal AEG.  Personally, I've always thought that GBB are the least reliable type of airsoft gun.  They don't work well in cold weather, they can have problems in warm weather, the mags and various valves can leak, etc.

Yeah, Jamie, you are right. Gantaliano is thinking about EBBs, which TM also made for a time.

AEPs are leaps and bounds above EBBs. Cool stuff but sound real wonky and don't blow back. I agree about your comments on GBB reliability as well...GBBs are finicky and tough to operate with any sort of consistancy for any length of time, which is why I don't really own any.

What you say. Is probably true concerning the AEP's. But I'd have to disagree about GBB's. Yes there are some really crappy models out there, but there are also some that are very reliable. My KJW M9 has never given me a fit. Even in cold or hot weather. It works.  Very well.

Never the less. Since I was obviously confused about the AEP versus EBB (which suck!). I would love to see one in action sometime.

I'm guessing you show a little more discpline when firing your M9, I'm spoiled, I started out with a KWA G18 select fire GBB. The temptation to go full auto always got the best of me and I'd end up with a ice cold mag.
