How do you M203 owners out there like its performance? I'm getting an M4 and I want to add a launcher to it somewhere in the near future. I was looking at the CA version, but I heard G&P was good too.
The G&P and CA 203's are good, as well as the Sun Project. For realism, avoid the TM version - it uses their Shotgun rounds and only fires 3 BB's per trigger pull.
I love mine (unsure of the brand - I'm assuming that it's the G&P as it has full trades, but CA also tends to put "Classicarmy" SOMEWHERE on their products). The one big drawback is the cost of the 39mm grenade shells. A shell will usually set you back 50-75 bux per. DENTrinity.com has the CA 165-round shells for under 40.
Shells come in a variety of sizes. I use midcap 66 round shells as well as the 165-round showershells. TIP: if you use the hicap 165's - only load them 1/2 to 2/3 full - the less mass you have to push, the better the performance.
Shooting the 203 is addictive - when I let folks try mine out the frequent comment I hear is "woahhhh - I GOTTA get me one of these!". Real Wood-making experience ("It may be Balsa, but it's Wood!" - Richard Dean Anderson in an interview about using replica firearms during the filming of
Stargate SG-1).
