How is it stupid? It's a good question. I know alot of people that rather stick with gas guns, and I wanted to know what you guys thought.

but um yeah..this is kind of a dumb topic...kinda like what if man evolved and had all the powers of Superman..or something.  

AEGs are here..no point in arguing about it.  Plus I like'em.

Clearly you must have never seen the Tokyo Marui video showing why AEGs are better then gas guns.   ;)

i know this is late, but gas guns are funner, due to the realism i think but AEG's are better and better for upgrades and tinkering around, plus less maintence in my case

totally agree
plus my team, sometimes even though we are a team, we are packed (sometimes we camp) like US Paratroopers in 1940s
we are like one man armies, we carry extra ammo we carry different mags for different weapons, just in case some one loses one....but my point is that we also like AEGs because u dont have to carry gas every where?

Like asking whether or not they should have invented CDs or stuck with 8-tracks, that question is fucking LUDICROUS!

Ask yourself, if both are still available (quantities aside), then WHY do the majority of airsoft PLAYERS opt for AEGs?

(Notice I didn't say COLLECTORS!)

Mainly because the majority of airsoft players didn't play when gas rifles were the norm, and they don't know about them.

Quantities aside is a fuckin' cop out, Christian. That's like saying  ask yourself, why do people pick Volvos over Lambos? Well, that's because Volvos are cheaper, easier to come by, require less work, and can be serviced by many more people. However the case may be...Lambos sound cooler, go faster, handle better, and get you laid more than the Volvo would.

Classic rifles are worth a lot. I have more in JAC AUG mags than some people have in their guns...and I only have 5.
