AK bushings
« on: April 19, 2006, 04:28:15 PM »
I am going to have an M120 spring insalled in my gun, but was told that i need to replace the stock plastic bushings with metal ones.  Is this true?

You can keep the plastic ones in, but don't expect them to last long.  Just pick up some metal ones: guarder, systema...

They will be fine.

I have 2 AKs both with 120s installed, nothing more(except for the spetz, it has a tightbore) and have had them for more than a year, without any problems from either gun.

Lucky you.  Back when I had the AK-47S, one of the bushings cracked after only... ~3k shots, which cracked a gear, and screwed up the piston.

Ok, cool.  So it is something that i can get later on down the road and hopefully not have any problems with.  Sweet.  Just checkin', didn't want to put something in my gun that requires something else in for reinforcement and have it break something.  Thanks guys... peeeace....
